She is an Affiliate Marketing Specialist at Wealthy Affiliate. Before that, she was the Secretary/Treasurer of N-CAP, a non-profit company that represents telecentres in Canada's far northern territory of Nunavut, and the Community Access Program Administrator for the Nunavut Department of Education. As the latter, she administered all funding for the local telecentres and led many IT-related areas and projects.

Ibrahim was the founding Chairman of [[ISOC]] Somalia, and [[.so|.so registry]], and a Research Fellow at University of Melbourne and Swinburne University. Mohamed was also the Chairman of the Centre for Research and Dialogue, and Somalia's [[IGF]]. An active participant at [[ICANN]] conferences, he was involved in the [[ccNSO]] and [[GAC]] on behalf of Somalia. He also represents that country at other fora, such as in [[AfTLD]].
