(Note you are using the .mobi extension of ICANNWiki.)
If you have time and wish to experience parts of The City, below are some tips, or suggestions for a successful night out on San Francisco.
Keep in mind that San Francisco is, geographically speaking, a small city. Therefore taxis are plentiful and an inexpensive way to get around The City.

Shows
If you have one night in San Francisco, you must see "BBB"!
Beach Blanket Babylon
Call for tickets as they are often sold out. Ground floor seating (my favorite for viewing this "unexplainable" show, is first-come/first-serve so you will need to be in line early.)
Club Fugazi is located in North Beach.

Bars with a View
For a night cap, the following offer great views of "The city".
The "Top of the Mark"
One of the all time, traditional favorites of San Francisco.
Located on top of the Mark Hopkins, a top Nob Hill. A LOT of history with this hotel!

The View
The building, commonly referred to by locals as the "Juke Box"!
Relatively new, this building opened to the public on October 17, 1989, the day of the famous Loma Prieta earthquake. The building and ALL OF THAT GLASS handled the quake perfectly.
