Best wishes to all of you who are going to Morocco. Mary had a spontaneous fracture of her L1 vertebrae in Tokyo on 15 April. She's at home recuperating at this time. Sorry that we won't see you all at the ICANN meetings.

My third term as Secretary expired in May. I am now the Treasurer of the Registrars Constituency.

I'll tell you about our business plan in future postings.

Early on, ICANN directed the Registrars to draft a "Code of Conduct (CoC)". So we did -- but there was no concensus to adopt the draft or any other set of standards for business behavior or conduct.

Therefore, Domains Only elected to join the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB has offices in many cities in the U.S. and Canada. When a grievance is brought to the attention of BBB, they attempt to resolve it by mediation or arbitration. This service is available to any person, partnership or corporation. The grievance does not need to be against a member merchant or vendor, BBB will still attempt to resolve the issue.

Our BBB chapter in Southern Nevada publishes lists of firms which do not respond to grievances brought to them. Reports on members are available on the Internet. You can look up a firm in Southern Nevada at this URL:
