Kathy Kleiman
Kathy Kleiman is co-founder of the Noncommercial Users Constituency. She was also the organizer of the Privacy Conference Building Bridges on ICANN's Whois Questions in Vancouver. The Conference featured numerous experts from Canada's Office of the Privacy Commissioner, CIRA (.CA), Nominet (.UK) and Japan Registry Services (.JP). They described how ICANN's WHOIS policies violate data protection laws in Canada (and throughout the world) and how country code registries are changing their Whois procedures to comply with data protection laws, yet continue to provide access to law enforcement. The Conference also profiled the reforms to the gTLD Whois service sought by the Registries, Registrars and NCUC Constituencies. Full agenda and slides on NCUC's website at NCDNHC.ORG.
