Citizen Hawk was founded in 2006 by Graham MacRobie and is based in Aliso Viejo, California.^[5] In 2008, Citizen Hawk received a funding of $3Million from Maveron LLC.^[6]

Business Model

Citizen Hawk has an innovative business model. It files a complaint against cybersquatters with ICANN on behalf of its clients, and pays the complaint filing fees up front. After the domain is recovered, it charges a commission on the ad revenue of these domains.^[7]
