Yashar M. Hajiyev is the Coordinator at Global Internet Policy Initiative. Mr. Hajiyev also teaches at Azerbaijan Technical University, and is a long-time Professor at the Western University of Azerbaijan, where he is the Deputy Head of the Computer Science department. Mr. Hajiyev is the Founder and Director of the Information Policy Analytical Center in Azerbaijan.[1] He founded the Center in 2004.[2]
Yashar Hajiyev is a two-time ICANN Fellow, first at ICANN Brussels, and later at ICANN Dakar. He is involved in At-Large activities and the GNSO.[3]
Mr. Hajiyev is also involved with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and has presented on Internet Literacy and the Way to Information Equality.[4]
