João Damas is an External Collaborator at GCSEC, Nomcom member at ICANN[1] and Co-owner/Engineer of Bond Internet Systems.[2] Ms. Damas also severs as the co-organizador at ESNOG. He is the RIPE EOF/Plenary Coordinator and Chair RIPE Routing wg at RIPE.[3] Mr. Damas is also the Technical Contact at ISC.[4]
He attends IETF[5] ISOC[6] ICANN Meetings[7][8] and other Industry related events.[9] Mr. Damas actively participates in ISC events.[10][11]
He has contributed to RFC 4012 and RFC 5358
Career History
From 2009-2010, he was a Member of CPR group at Afilias. He became the Technical Contact of ISC in 2009, prior to which he was the Senior Programme Manager for ISC for 6 years. In 1997, he joined RIPE NCC as a Network Engineer and worked there till 2002 in different positions including Database Group Manager and CTO.
