Jose Ignacio Alvarez-Hamelin works at CONICET and the University of Buenos Aires, where he researched IXP-related topics.[1]
ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires was his first ICANN Meeting, and he attended because he was researching IXP.[1]
One of his proudest life achievements is helping to fund CoNexDat, a Complex Networks and Data Communication Group at UBA.[2]
