Cordance had created the actual digital addressing technology system which later went to become the base for the [[XDI]] (XRI Data Interchange) and [[XRI]] (Extensible Resource Identifier), the two open standards now installed at OASIS. The patents helped to create the XDI.org. In 2004, the company entered into a partnership with [[NeuStar]], this was done with the sole purpose of developing and operating the global registry of XRI and resolution services as per the contract signed with XDI.org.
