Schools on Internet Governance (SIGs) are organizations that inform end users about the stewardship of the internet. SIGs have been around since 2007, with the opening of the European School on Internet Governance (EuroSSIG) in Meissen, Germany. Each of the schools has developed its curriculum based on its local needs as well as availabilities. Some bring in international faculty, some prefer to restrict their courses to be led by local faculty. Each of the schools has developed its own method of funding and student selection. Some teach at a basic level to students who have no experience with Internet Governance, while others work with young professionals with some experience in Internet governance.[1]
