CORE Internet Council of Registrars is a Swiss-based Association whose 60+ members are registrars and domain-name resellers with a global reach, including areas using Cyrillic script. CORE has fifteen years worth of experience in the domain registration industry both as registrar and as registry operator provider. CORE Internet Council of Registrars original and ongoing purpose is to keep the Internet’s naming and addressing infrastructure in the public trust."[3]
Contract Signed
On 14 July 2013, CORE received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for . сайт after passing the Initial Evaluation.[4] It was one of the first 4 contracts to be signed as part of the New gTLD Program.[5]
Delegation and Availability
.сайт was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on October 22, 2013, completing the successful application for the string. It was one of the first 4 strings delegated to the Root as part of the New gTLD Program.[2]
Sunrise
The Registry announced that the Sunrise Period for the string would begin 16 January 2014 and end on 18 March 2014.[6]
