The applicant is GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft,[1] which is "one of the largest system providers for food and energy processes... with a 2011 turnover of about € 5.4 billion and close to 24,000 employees worldwide." It and its predecessors have been publicly listed companies. Its principal place of business is Düsseldorf, Germany, and it has been involved in engineering and innovative technologies for over 100 years.
