.lamborghini is a Community Brand TLD being proposed in ICANN's New gTLD Program. The applicant is Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A.,[1] which is a luxury car-company and an affiliate of Volkswagen Group. "Lamborghini has a history in car making for almost 50 years now: Lamborghini has been founded 1963 in SantʹAgata Bolognese⁄Italy where its registered office and principal place of business is still located. Since its foundation as Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A on May 7, 1963 Lamborghini produces exclusive sports cars, and participated in Formula 1 races from 1989 till 1993..All second-level domain names in the .LAMBORGHINI TLD will be exclusively registered and maintained by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. as registrant and domain name owner. However, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is allowed to distribute control or use of any registrations under .LAMBORGHINI domain names to affiliates of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A..[2]"
