.sport is a proposed new gTLD in ICANN's new gTLD program. There are multiple known applications for this extension, and thus it seems it is destined for string contention.

One application, by SportAccord, is a known Community Application, that has backing from the International Olympic Committee. SportAccord has also announced that its registry services provider would be CORE.[1]
