It is a proposed new generic top level domain name (gTLD) with ICANN's New gTLD Program by Dotversicherung-registry GmbH for the insurance industry in Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. Dr. Hans-Peter Schwintowski, a legal professor led the initiative to develop the .versicherung domain name space. RegistryASP will provide back-end registry solutions for the TLD.
