Anne-Rachel Inne is the regional liaison for Africa at ICANN. She plays a major role in promoting Internet and Computer related activities in Africa. Her major responsibilities with ICANN are to reach people, business and governement, and working according to the plan of action of ICANN.[1]

Education

  • Rachel holds a Masters degree in English/Translation from the University of Paris.
  • She has an MBA in International Management from the University of Illinois in 1997.

Career History

  • Ms. Inne began her career as a translator for the UTA/Air France for the Niger office. Afterwards, she became the sales manager.
  • She then worked as the ICT for development practices consultant.
  • She is a board member/member of many organizations working in Africa and internationally.
  • She is one of ICANN's seven regional liaisons.
  • She was a part of ADF III.[2]
  • She represents ICANN at all AfTLD, AfriNIC, and other regional events.[3][4]

Awards

On 10 June 2010, Anne Rachel was presented the Network Information Infrastructure Service Award By AfNOG. It was a token of appreciation for her efforts in improving Internet in Africa.[5]
