Byron Holland is the President and CEO of CIRA, a position he was appointed to in January 2008.[1] He is also the Vice-Chair of ICANN's ccNSO.[2]

Career History

His focus is on security, stability and resiliency of the .CA domain name system (DNS) and sound operation and policy development that supports the .CA registry. In striving for operational excellence, Holland provides sound financial management, ensures exceptional customer service, and observes and implements globally recognized best practices at CIRA. He also represents Canadian interests in numerous international fora, including at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Internet Governance Forum (IGF). [3][4]

Education

Byron holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University.[5]
