On May 31, 2012, CloudNames confirmed its application for .cloud and .global generic top level domain names (gTLDs) with ICANN's New gTLD Program. According to Larsen, the proposed strings are competitive and good alternatives for the .com TLD for companies to increase the awareness of consumers about their products and services in a global scale. - CloudNames .brand Setup- The company offers to prepare the entire ICANN application for .brand TLD, monitor the progress and of application and provided feedback to the client.
- CloudNames .brand Full Service- CloudNames will manage the pre-delegation, testing and launching, on-going operation, escrow and reporting to comply with ICANN requirements. The company will also help the client in discussing the Registry Agreement with ICANN and will manage second level domain names and will also provide usage statistics and reports.
