Ivan Vargas Chaves is a Board member representing Colombia at ColorIURIS A.I.E.[1] He is also an advisory board member of the Legal Issues Journal of the University of Rosario and the Colombian Journal of Tort Law.
Career History
Mr. Vargas has worked in the public and private sector and specializes in complex corporate litigation, contract law, international trade and intellectual property matters. [2] His most recent position was working as a contract coordinator of an important logistics company in Colombia.[3] He has been an Associate at Marrugo, Rivera & Asociados, which is a law firm in Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena. He was also a Junior Legal Counsel at Muñoz Attorneys at Law. His most recent position was working as a national coordinator of a major contract logistics company.
Education
Mr. Vargas hold a B.H. in Political and Economic Sciences and a J.D. from Universidad del Rosario. He studied arbitration and mediation in intellectual property litigation from WIPO.[4], contract litigation at Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Project Management at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He has a postgraduate degree in contracts and tort law at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
