NIC.NI is a non-profit organization dedicated to managing the operations of Nicaragua's ccTLD, .ni.
In 1988, IANA delegated the .ni ccTLD to Nicaragua, and it was included in the Domain Name System upon the request of the National Engineering University through Dean Leonel Plazaola and German aid worker Hoppman Cornelius.[1]
The organizations services include domain name registration, domain name transfer, website development and web hosting and provides solutions for Internet related threats such as spam and Internet phishing and other domain name related problems.[2]
NIC.NI is an ICANN accredited registry operator.
