On May 12, 2011, Senator Patrick Leahy introduced '''Protect IP ACT of 2011,''' which was supported by 40 other senators in the Senate. The provisions of the bill is similar to COICA which was introduced the previous year by Sen. Leahy. As expected, Sen. Wyden is against it and he promised to filibuster on the Senate floor, will reach out to his colleagues-both Republican and Democrats and explain to them the reasons of the widespread opposition against PIPA.
