Oratile Slave is an attorney employed by the Attorney General's Chambers of the Republic of Botswana in the International and Commercial Division. She negotiates and drafts International and Commercial Agreements which the Government is party to and gives legal advice on the same. She represents Government on various Technical Advisory Committees including the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on the .bw Domain Name which is housed by the Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA).She advises the TAC on issues of policy development and management. ICANN and Internet Governance Participation
My involvement with the ICANN and Internet Governance space began with the London ICANN 50 Public International Meeting in 2014, Singapore ICANN 52 Public International Meeting Fellowship Programme in 2015 and the 2017 ICANN Policy meeting that took place in Johannesburg, South Africa. Back home, Slave is involved with Botswana Information Society (BITS) on Public Awareness outreach in ICT and Law.
