In June 16, 2011,BusinessRalliart CEO Toshiyuki Nakanishi announced the company's plans to submit its applications for .ryukyu and .okinawa geographical TLDs to the new gTLD expansion of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. According a report published by the Okinawa Times, Nakanishi believed that the TLDs will make Okinawa a leader in Information Technology development in Japan. The TLDs will also enhance the identity of Okinawa and Ryukyu Islands. BusinessRalliart received investments for its TLD projects from Nippon Rent-A-Car Okinawa and EN Group, owner of a Japanese restaurant chain in Okinawa. [2]
