Nii Quaynor is the Member, Internet Governance Forum Advisory Group at United Nations Organization and Chairman of Board of Directors at National Information Technology Agency. Quaynor is also a Patron at Internet Society of Ghana and Convener at African Network Operators Group (AfNOG). Currently, he also serves as the Chairman at Network Computer Systems (NCS).

Education

He holds a B.A in Engineering Science from Dartmouth College, Bachelors of Engineering from Thayer School of Engineering and M.S and Ph.D in Computer Science from the State University of New York At StonyBrook.[1]

Career History

Quaynor has played a significant role in the development of Internet and Telecommunications Industry in Africa. He has the credit of establishing the Computer Science Department at the University of Cape-Cost in Ghana.

In 1993, Dr. Quaynor returned to Ghana after studying and pioneered the first internet service operated by NCS in West Africa. He is a professor of computer science at University of Cape-Coast, Ghana.[2]

During his stay in the U.S, he worked the the Digital Equipment Corporation in the United States from 1977 till 1992.

Quaynor received Jonathan B. Postel Service Award in 2007.[6]
