On 5th December 2014, it was reported that the government of Mauritius has not been paying bills owed for the domain name gov.mu to Internet Direct Limited (IDL). The total owed is alleged to be in the hundreds of millions of Mauritian rupees (100 million Rupees is worth approximately $3 million as of December 2014). The Mauritian government has moved its website on to govmu.org, and the domain is to be auctioned off.[1]
